The reason this site has been quiet for so long is because, on June 21 in Xam Neua, Laos, I had a motorbike accident and broke my collarbone.
It's stupid, since I wasn't going fast or being stupid, conditions were good, the road was fine and we weren't going far, but there it is. I had to wait three days in Xam Neua for the next plane out to Vientiane, then on to Bangkok, then Bangkok back to NZ. I'll fill in the details now, but suffice it to say for now that we're back on these frosty isles of the south pacific, I'm going back to university in Wellington in a week or two, and we're more or less here to stay.
